Mayor Orlando met the ambassador of Kuwait
Mayor Leoluca Orlando received the Kuwait ambassador S.E. Azzam Mubarak Al Sabah.
The meeting was an opportunity to talk, among other things, about the reception policies of migrant people in the city and, contextually, about the "Palermo Charter", as well as the possibility of a twinning between Palermo and the port city of Al Ahamadi.
The possibility of creating a socio-economic event of the Emirate in our city and dedicated to the business world was also discussed. The ambassador also officially invited Mayor Orlando to Kuwait.
Also present at the meeting was the president of the Council of Cultures Ibrahim Kobena
The mayor Orlando highlighted how "the area of the Persian Gulf is increasingly geopolitically linked to the Mediterranean, bringing together peoples, cultures and religions that find in Palermo a privileged meeting place and beneficial exchange for each other".
