“Sicily Port Academy”. A training project for high school students
The memorandum of understanding between the Port System Authority of the Western Sicilian Sea and the European School, directed by Eduard Rodés, was signed today. It will last for three years. The agreement underlines the commitment of both organizations to promote sustainable logistics and knowledge of port operations, forecasting the development of maritime professionals.
In 2023 the AdSP became part of the European School of Intermodal Transport with the Port Authority of Barcelona, the Port System Authority of the Western Ligurian Sea, the Port System Authority of the Central Northern Tyrrhenian Sea, Grimaldi Lines and Grandi Navi Veloci: today's agreement seals the willingness of both parties to collaborate, through workshop courses modeled on the needs of the students, in the creation and development of the "Sicily Port Academy" training project, intended for high school students, ITS Academy and University, to promote knowledge of sea professions and logistics activities in general, the second training event of which will end tomorrow in Palermo.
