Amat and Moovit for a smart city transport

Moovit, Palermo and Palermo Amat Spa intruduced the Real Time on the in-service buses in Palermo, thanks to the new administrative tools and a new app to use that the company, sharing the bus position exercise, is able to provide users the exact time of arrival of means of transport.
The announcement was made  during a press conference at Villa Niscemi, in the presence of the Mayor of Palermo Leoluca Orlando, Councillor for Innovation City of Palermo Gianfranco Rizzo, President Amat Palermo spa Antonio Gristina, General Manager Amat Palermo spa Gianfranco Rossi and VP Products & Marketing Moovit Yovav Meydad.
The service, launched in recent days on an experimental basis, is already active on the lines 101, 102 and 109, the Free shuttles Historical Center and Express, established to facilitate the movement of people within the restricted traffic zone (ZTL) and parking Basile in Independence square. After the experimental phase, it will be activated on the rest of the fleet Amat.
Developed by Moovit for the first time in the world, in collaboration with Amat Palermo SpA, the new app allows you to transmit through a special system with GPS and connection data on the bus, the exact position of the vehicle, in order to make known users Moovit the real-time bus arrival at the bus stop.
