Historical Archives and the Library of Casaprofessa open Saturday 23 and Sunday 24
Among other events linked to the European Heritage Days, the Historical Archives of Palermo, via Maqueda 157 and the Municipal Library of Casa Professa, Piazzetta Brunaccini, 1 will be open to the public on Saturday 23 and Sunday, 24 September 2017, from 10am to 6pm.
The event, conceived in 1991 by the Council of Europe and the European Commission with the aim of enhancing and promoting cultural dialogue and exchange between European nations and each year promoted at national level by MIBACT. This year’s theme is Nature and Culture.
“This wonderful initiative – says the Mayor Leoluca Orlando and the Councilor for Culture Andrea Cusumano – confirms the renewed cultural liveliness of the city and the central role that it embraces ancient and prestigious cultural institutes such as the Archives and the Municipal Library.
Are planned exhibitions, guided tours and meetings.
