Orlando meets Gilles Kepel, the French political scientist, orientalist and academic

The mayor Leoluca Orlando has received Mr Gilles Kepel, French political scientist, orientalist and academic, specialized in studies on the Middle East. Present at the meeting were the Consul General of France in Naples, Laurent Burin Des Roziers and Federica Frediani, Program Manager of the MEM Educational Platform of the University of Switzerland in Italy.

“It is still confirmed – declared Orlando -that Palermo is a reference point for helping each day  a a process that builts Mediterranean Sea of peace that prof. Kepel hopes with a rigorous analysis and denunciation of ambiguity in the Middle East and in the Mediterranean ”. The mayor thanked Gilles Kepel “for the appreciation expressed for the change in Palermo that has chosen to be a city of rights and peace”.
