Kazaam Lab, the Palermo startup that innovates precision medicine

It starts with an intelligent analysis of the data to arrive at more precise diagnoses and therapies for each patient. The idea that promises to revolutionize the future of medicine is by Simona Rombo, professor of Computer Science at the University of Palermo, born from her frontier research in bioinformatics and is the basis of a complex system that she developed with Kazaam Lab, the startup she founded together with Simona Panni, researcher in biology, and Salvatore Morfea, software architect, to which are added the skills of Mariella Bonomo, PhD student with a Data Scientist certification. Assisted by the ARCA Consortium, within the European network EIT Health InnoStars, in just two years the initial idea became a prototype, then a real product. Kazaam eHealth is a digital platform, based on big data technologies and artificial intelligence, which provides decision support to healthcare professionals, overcoming the limits of traditional medicine and allowing them to successfully practice precision medicine.
