Guinness World Records. Sunday 11 September will be the turn of the longest cannoli in the world

Sunday 11 September appointment with the challenge to enter the Guinness World Records with "The longest cannoli in the world", The attempt authorized by London is coordinated by Master Pastry Chef Lillo Defraia, assisted by Luigi Li Veli, Guinness procedure expert. In the photo above Lillo Defraia together with Marcello Proietto di Silvestro, president of Ristoworld, who organized the event. There will be chefs and pastry chefs from the various associations from all Italy. Currently the record is 5 meters and the team plans to reach a double-digit length. The initiative includes other events. On Friday 9 September at 5.30 pm will e introduced the De.Co (municipal name "Cannolo di Caltanissetta") and the project for exporting the product to Europe and worldwide. Saturday 10 September in the morning is planned a walk to rediscover the confectionery places of Caltanissetta and at 5.30 pm presentation of the other records held by the City; visit to the exhibition and conversation with Franco Di Guardo, an author who recalls the prerogatives of Sicilian and Italian cuisine in the world. On Sunday 11 September at 3 pm the ribbon cutting and off to the Guinness World Records attempt: at the end “unofficial” proclamation in the presence of Guinness delegate Robert Sherman and free distribution of the dessert to the public. The remainder of the cannoli will be made available to charities.
