The European conference of attorneys general will be held in Palermo

On 5 and 6 May 2022, the European conference of attorneys general will be held at the seat of the Sicilian regional assembly in the Palazzo dei Normanni.
The conference is dedicated to the issue of the independence and responsibility of the public prosecutor, aimed at the protection of the rights of the person and the common challenges in terms of: protection of human rights and judicial cooperation in the detection of transnational crimes, including in particular the environmental crimes and those committed with the computer.

 This will be followed by introductory speeches by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić.

Delegations from the Mediterranean countries, Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia, Canada, Kazakhstan, the Holy See and the United States participate in the final session.
On the occasion, Giovanni Falcone, Francesca Morvillo and Paolo Borsellino will be commemorated.
