Mayor Orlando met the ambassador of Algeria

Mayor of Palermo, mister Leoluca Orlando and the councilor for international relations Paolo Petralia Camassa received the new Ambassador of Algeria in Italy, H.E., at the institutional headquarters of Villa Niscemi this morning. Ahmed Boutache, on an official visit to our city. The meeting was also attended by the president of the Consulta of Cultures, Ibrahima Kobena and some councilors of the Consulta. The Consulta itself, as a model of active and democratic participation of non-Italian citizens residing in the city, was one of the topics covered, in addition to the possibility of commercial and cultural exchanges. It was also decided to start a dialogue on innovation issues through a direct confrontation with the government of the North African state.
