24 years ago Paolo Borsellino massacre. A new bronze bust as a tribute
24 years ago Paolo Borsellino and 6 body guards, Agostino Catalano, Emanuela Loi, Vincenzo Li Muli, Walter Eddie Cosina and Claudio Traina,were killed in the massacre of via Mariano d’Amelio. A new bronze bust portrayting the judge was sculpted by Davide Fontana, a student of Accademia delle Belle Arti. The bust was disclosed in the Gallaeria Bianca, Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa, by the mayor mr Leoluca Orlando, the sister and the brother of the judge Rita Borsellino and Salvatore Borsellino, Antonio La Spina e Mario Zito, president and director of Accademia delle Belle Arti, the assessor to culture Andrea Cusumano.
The new bust is going to be placed in the school which is dedicated to the judge, hospitality training school Borsellino.
The tribute to the mafia fighter hero was also given by Claudia Vetrana, Salvatore Di Francesca, Pietro Marino, Sara Carramusa, Sabrina Apuzzo, Maria Madonia, Francesco D’Alessandro and Emanuele Lisciandrello who sculpted Paolo Borsellino portrait as well.
