“Twin Cities in Sustainable Partnership”. Palermo for Ghana

“Twin Cities in Sustainable Partnership” is a project which will support the integrated and sustainable urban development processes of the metropolitan area of Sekondi-Takoradi in Ghana.

The "Twin-Cities in Sustainable Partnership" project is carried out as part of the cooperation program "Local Authorities: Partnerships for inclusive cities", funded by the European Union to support and strengthen partnership relations between European local authorities and countries third parties for the sustainable development of cities, in compliance with the principles set out in the 2030 Agenda. These initiatives are commendable, however it must always be kept in mind that the most important thing is to remove those elements which prevent these peoples from real development in the context of political and economic independence. Without this there is the risk that many good projects solve very little and, what is worse, give the feeling of having done something real and so putting one's conscience at ease without feeling the need to go further.
