The 48th World Earth Day from 20 to 22 of April

This morning was held at Palazzo delle Aquile the press conference to present the sixth edition of the World Day for Earth (Earth Day 2018), organized by the United Nations, scheduled in Palermo from April 20 to 22 at the Botanical Garden. At the meeting with journalists were present, among others, the mayor Mr. Leoluca Orlando and the deputy mayor Mr. Sergio Marino. The event is organized by the Fuori Orario Production of Palermo with the participation of the National Geographic and the patronage of the Municipality, the University of Palermo and Earth Day Italy.

“It will be three very important days – said the mayor Leoluca orlando – that combine perfectly with the cultural moment that crosses our city and that, among other things, is making biodiversity a very important factor and growth. We all have to increase our love for nature which is the best way to live the future “.

The 48th World Earth Day” (Earth Day 2018) was instituted by the United Nations in 1970. It is the most important environmental event in the world that every year sees the participation of about a billion people in the 193 member countries. of the United Nations.

Film and documentary screening session
April 20 at 7.00 pm. – Tribute to Philip Glass with the screening of the film Jane.
