In Palermo the Business Conference “Cyprus: an international hub since ancient times”

A “business conference” to increase deal with Cyprus will take place on Tuesday 19 February, from 4 to 7 pm, in the Sala Terrasi of the Palermo Chamber of Commerce.

The “business conference”, entitled “Cyprus: an international hub since ancient times. The Tax-Legal Context and the Commercial, Economic and Professional Interchange Opportunities with Italy ” is organized by the Sintesi Business Network, the Cypriot-Italian Business Association, in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Italy and under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce of Palermo.


The lawyer Alessandro Dagnino will be the moderator of the meeting. After the greetings of the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Palermo and Enna Alessandro Albanese and the vice-president of the Sicilian Region Gaetano Armao, the speeches of Giulia Sykopetrites, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Italy, of the Consul of the Republic of Cyprus in Sicily Sebastiano Provenzano (in the picture), of the spokesman of the Palermo trade association Patrizia Di Dio, of the president of the Young Entrepreneurs of Sicindustria of Palermo Luca Silvestrini, of the national coordinator of the Young Professionals Federation Cinzia Capizzi, of Giuseppe Marino, international jurist of business and founding member of Cypriot-Italian Business Association on the regulatory and fiscal context and operational aspects for the Italian companies interested in Cyprus, by Constantinos Talianos, commercial adviser of the Ministry, Energy, Commerce, Industry of Cyprus on the main sectors and opportunities of commercial interchange, economic and professional and by Federico Franchina, professor of Law of Navigation and coordinator of the Shipping and Aviation Committee of Sintesi Network, Cypriot-Italian Business Association on Mediterranean Macroregion, insularity and prospects of cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, B2B meetings were scheduled, to be booked at the time of registration. This is the first event organized by Sintesi as part of the 2019 program and the choice to start with Sicily was not causal considering the proximity between the two Islands, both strategically located in the Mediterranean Macroregion and linked by many elements.

Summary Business Network was born as an international association particularly focused on the research, study and analysis of legal and tax issues in the international corporate field and is subsequently oriented on the promotion and development of economic, commercial and professional relations between Italy and the Republic of Cyprus, consolidating its presence as a Cypriot-Italian Business Association.
