Ballarò Buskers Festival, the Palermo’s International Arts Street Festival
Is going to start tomorrow the Ballarò Buskers Festival, the Palermo’s International Arts Street Festival, which has received the patronage of the City Hall. More than fifty artists will be exhibiting for six squares of Palermo’s historic market, a sort of widespread stage where you can watch different shows on a single day. Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22, three days when Ballarò’s face will change and will become a sort of magic box from which will come out street acrobats, equilibrists, funambolists, artists, musicians, charlatans and poets. A small world where everything will be possible. There are so many new things this year.
For this exceptional occasion, you will be able to visit the monuments of the district, there will be three extraordinary evening openings during the whole event, to allow those who will join Ballarò to attend the shows, also access the beauties of the old quarter: Friday 20 October Night at Palazzo Conte Federico on Saturday 21 October the Night at the Medieval Tower of San Nicolò and on Sunday 22 even the evening visits to the Tower. Another novelty will be the Poetry Slam, which will allow anyone who wants to write and read a poem on a stage.
“Ballarò Buskers – says the mayor of Palermo Leoluca Orlando – is one of those initiatives that favor the rebirth of some areas of our city”.
